Error Codes

When Spacerun runs into a problem it shows you a code in the form EXXXX. Search by code or keywords to find a plain-language explanation and the steps that usually fix it.

General

E1000–E1999

Network, sign-in, and app start-up errors.

E1000

Unknown error

What it means: Something unexpected happened that doesn't match any other code.
Try: Restart the app. If the problem keeps happening, send the code and a short description to support.

E1001

Network error

What it means: The app can't reach the Spacerun server.
Try: Check your internet connection, disable any VPN/proxy, then retry.

E1002

Connection timeout

What it means: The server took too long to answer.
Try: Retry; switch from Wi-Fi to wired (or vice-versa) if the issue persists.

E1003

Authentication failed

What it means: Your credentials could not be verified.
Try: Sign out and sign back in. If you recently changed your password, make sure the new one is being used.

E1004

Start-up bootstrap failed

What it means: The app could not finish starting because the back-end could not be reached.
Try: Check your connection and relaunch. Tap Try again on the error screen.

Updates & Auto-installer

E2000–E2999

Issues downloading or installing app updates.

E2000

Update download failed

What it means: The installer file could not be downloaded.
Try: Check your connection, free up disk space, and retry the update.

E2001

Could not create update directory

What it means: The app could not create the folder it stores updates in.
Try: Make sure you have write access to your user profile and free disk space, then retry.

E2002

Could not save update file

What it means: Disk write of the installer failed.
Try: Free up disk space and retry. Antivirus software occasionally blocks the write — temporarily allow Spacerun and retry.

E2003

Update file missing

What it means: The downloaded installer was deleted before it could run (commonly an antivirus quarantine).
Try: Allow Spacerun in your antivirus / Defender exclusions and retry.

E2004

Installer launch failed

What it means: The Windows installer (or macOS updater) could not be started.
Try: Retry. If it keeps failing, download the latest release from the Spacerun website and run it manually.

E2005

Update cancelled

What it means: You declined the User Account Control (UAC) prompt, so the installer never ran.
Try: Run the update again and click Yes when Windows asks for permission.

E2010

App bundle invalid (macOS)

What it means: The .app you're running has an unexpected layout.
Try: Reinstall Spacerun from the official download.

E2011

Could not determine app path (macOS)

What it means: The updater can't figure out where Spacerun is installed.
Try: Reinstall from the official download.

E2012

Running from a disk image (macOS)

What it means: Spacerun is being run directly from the .dmg mount.
Try: Drag Spacerun into the Applications folder, eject the disk image, then launch it from Applications and try the update again.

E2013

Updater helper missing (macOS)

What it means: The Updater binary is missing inside the app bundle.
Try: Reinstall Spacerun from the official download.

E2014

Updater process failed to start (macOS)

What it means: The app couldn't spawn the helper that performs the update.
Try: Retry. If it still fails, run the latest installer from the website manually.

Routing — Lobbies & Deep Links

E3000–E3999

Joining lobbies and handling invite links.

E3000

Lobby ID and PIN are required

What it means: You tried to join a lobby without filling in both fields.
Try: Enter the lobby ID and the 6-digit PIN, then try again.

E3001

Invalid character in PIN

What it means: The PIN contains a non-digit (or is too long).
Try: PINs are made of digits 0–9 only. Spaces and dashes are ignored.

E3002

PIN must be exactly 6 digits

What it means: The PIN you entered isn't six digits long.
Try: Double-check the PIN and re-enter it.

E3003

Failed to join lobby

What it means: The server refused the join request.
Try: The lobby may be full, expired, or the host may have closed it. Ask the host to invite you again.

E3004

Lobby ID and Token required

What it means: A token-based invite link is missing one of its parts.
Try: Request a fresh invite link from your friend.

E3010

Authentication callback error

What it means: Sign-in completed with an error returned by the server.
Try: The description on screen contains the server's reason. Sign in again; if the same error returns, contact support.

Multiplayer Rooms

E4000–E4099

Generic multiplayer connection and room errors.

E4000

Multiplayer connection error

What it means: Could not connect to the multiplayer service.
Try: Check your connection and retry.

E4001

Multiplayer room error

What it means: A generic problem with the multiplayer room.
Try: Leave and rejoin.

Queue

E4300–E4399

Waiting for a play slot.

E4300

Queue: connection failed

What it means: The queue server could not be reached.
Try: Check your connection and retry joining the queue.

E4301

Queue: reconnection failed

What it means: Your queue session dropped and could not be restored.
Try: Join the queue again from the start.

E4302

Queue: too many reconnect attempts

What it means: The app gave up trying to restore your queue session.
Try: Join the queue again.

E4303

Queue: session expired

What it means: Your saved queue session is no longer valid.
Try: Start a new queue session.

E4350

Removed from queue

What it means: You were kicked — usually because another device took your spot, or by an administrator.
Try: Rejoin the queue.

E4351

Banned from queue

What it means: Your account is blocked from this queue.
Try: Contact support if you believe this is a mistake.

E4353

Duplicate connection

What it means: You're already connected to the queue from another device.
Try: Disconnect on the other device, or use the Override button to take over the slot here.

E4354

Already in a game session

What it means: A game session for your account is already running on another device.
Try: End the other session, or use Override to move the session to this device.

E4355

Game unavailable

What it means: The requested game is offline or under maintenance.
Try: Wait a few minutes and try again, or pick a different game.

E4356

Quota exceeded

What it means: You've hit your usage limit for the current period.
Try: Wait until your quota resets, or upgrade your plan.

Game Streaming Session

E4400–E4499

Game streaming session lifecycle.

E4400

Game stream init failed

What it means: The streaming engine could not be initialised.
Try: Retry. If it persists, restart the app.

E4401

Game stream connection broken

What it means: The stream was interrupted during play.
Try: Check your network stability (Wi-Fi signal, congestion) and reconnect.

E4402

Game stream session error

What it means: A general error inside an active streaming session.
Try: End the session and start a new one.

Stream Connection to Host

E4500–E4599

Connection problems reaching the game host.

E4500

Could not connect to host

What it means: Could not reach the game host on the first attempt.
Try: Verify the host is online and reachable from your network.

E4501

Could not reconnect to host

What it means: The connection dropped mid-session and could not be restored.
Try: Check your network and start a new session.

Game Catalog

E5000–E5999

Loading game catalog and detail data.

E5000

Failed to load game details

What it means: The catalog data for the selected game could not be loaded.
Try: Check your connection and tap Try again.
